COVID 19 Information for passengers

Correct as of 18th May 2021

Taken and adapted for Skylark Fishing Trips from the Angling Trust Best Practise for the Safe Resumption of Charter Boat Fishing

  1. If you have any COVID symptoms you should not board the vessel.

  2. It is the skipper’s decision to allow you on the boat, should he suspect you are displaying symptoms he is within his right to refuse you boarding.

  3. You will be allocated an area on the boat to fish from and you must remain in this area throughout the trip. If passenger movement is needed the skipper will instruct passengers on how to do this.

  4. If you need assisting during the trip, you will need to wear a face covering (unless exempt) and the skipper / crew will do the same as we would be breaking social distancing and therefore mitigating measures must be in place.

  5. You are expected to bring your own face covering / mask in case of emergencies or if assistance with fishing is needed. We will not expect you to wear it when social distancing can be maintained.

  6. To avoid contamination and reduce transmission of the virus, please bring your own soap / hand sanitiser. We will provide a bucket with string attachment for you to use to contain sea water.

  7. The toilet is not available so please bring your own bucket container to use if you need to.

  8. Bring your own drinks / food.

  9. Bring your own rubbish bag and remove your own rubbish from the boat at the end of your trip thier is a rubbish bin at the top of the slipway

  10. bring your own bag for your fish if you wish to take any home (we used to provide them but no longer can due to carrier bag sales)

It is down to all onboard to ensure that government guidelines are followed and a duty of care is provided to all onboard by all onboard.

By arriving at the boat you are showing you are in agreement and will follow the steps above.

Skylark will take maximum of 12 passengers plus skipper and crew. social distancing can not be maintained with this amount of people aboard the boat at all times so face covering will have to be worn and customers are expected to keep in thier areas with thier group. We will try our best to moniter and advise this to all customers.
